Welcome to Team Tramell

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Lexington Soccer Fall 2007 Season. My name is Coach Jeremy Tramell and I have been given the wonderful opportunity to teach your boys the "fun"damentals of youth Soccer. This is my first year as a coach, however, I come with 22 years of Soccer experience as well as instructor credentials within my professional career. I am the proud father of 2. Gavin Tramell, who is on our team, as well as Logan Tramell who is 3. Enough about me, lets get down to the business of Soccer.

As you may know, Lexington County Soccer is extremely focused on the health and well being of your children. With that said, I have included in this packet, a copy of the Parents Code of Conduct. It is extremely important, to adhere to each of the codes, and set the example to our kids, their opponents, and the parents of the opposing teams. Please take time to sincerely review the contents and guidelines. Additionally, I have included some guidelines that Lexington Soccer would like us to abide by. Please review as soon as convenient. The last thing in this packet, is the U7 Exceptions, which is basically a list of the rules our age group will abide by. Take the time to review, to ensure that you are informed.

Practices. Practices 9if all things go as planned) will be here, on Tuesdays, will begin @ 7 ending around @ 8ish. We will normally be reviewing last weeks game, learning new fundamentals, and looking forward to the next weeks games. I would like to invite the parents to join us during the last 30 minutes of practice. This will help us get the boys drilled, and practiced, as well as teaching you parents some helpful Soccer tips, as well as create a fun family atmosphere for both kids and parents. All boys need to wear cleats and shin guards (with socks) for practice, as well as bring a full water bottle to each practice.

Games. Games will be every Sunday, beginning September 16th. There will be 6 boys to a side (this includes goalkeepers) and score will not be recorded. Hopefully we will have referee's but at this time it is not a definite. Please be sure to arrive to games 15 minutes early, with kids dressed in full uniform (shirts tucked in), including shin guards, socks, cleats. Each player will get to play each position, including GoalKeeper so that they can learn a familiarity of the game. When viewing your child, remember the purpose of playing is to have fun and learn the game of Soccer, please don't Coach, or yell instructions to children as they are playing, but applaud the plays they have made.

Socceramma: Picture Day and Socceramma will Saturday, September 8th. This is when we will be getting the team and individual pictures made. Please ensure your child is in full uniform on this day. Following the pictures, we will be participating in a half game scrimmage. It should be a ton of fun!

Contact: Lastly, I wanted to take a second to introduce my "staff" this year. Coach Chris Yanssens will be my assistant coach. Should you need to reach him, or are unable to reach me, his cell number is 603-3209. Our Team Parents this year are Franz and Kim Silas and can be reached at 422-9045. Franz and Kim will be organizing the snack rotation, making phone calls, helping organize end of season party and collecting money for additional Lexington Soccer Tshirts. You can reach me @ 556-0479 (cell) or @ 939-2327 (work).

Lastly, I have created a blog which with your permission, I will use to post pictures taken by the parents during the games, weekly review of the games, practice tips and other fun Soccer facts. If you do not want any pictures of you or your child published, please let me know. The URL if you want to check it out is http://tramellsoccer.blogspot.com/. Addtionally, if you would like to contact me via email, its jtramell @ gmail.com (no spaces). I look forward to having a ton of fun with you and your children this season. Thank You!

Sincerely,

Coach T.
